Kapi'olani Community College (KCC) Market, Oahu

Near the famous Diamond Head mountain, the KCC Market is a popular spot on Saturday mornings. This busy market is full of local fruits and vegetables, special foods, and beautiful flowers.

  • What We Love: There is so much to choose from! You can find sweet white pineapples, juicy papayas, local honey, and even fresh seafood. There are also stands selling yummy plate lunches and other ready-to-eat foods.

  • Don’t Miss: Try the fresh ginger ale and look at all the colorful tropical flowers.

  • When to Go: Saturdays, 7:30 AM to 11:00 AM

  • Tip: This market is very busy. Go early to find the best things!

Upcountry Farmers Market, Maui

If you want a more relaxed feeling, visit the Upcountry Farmers Market in Pukalani. This market has a friendly, small-town vibe where you can talk to the farmers.

  • What We Love: You can find fresh foods that grow in the cooler, high-up areas of Maui, like lettuce, vegetables, and strawberries. You can also find special things like local goat cheese and fresh bread.

  • Don’t Miss: The delicious lilikoi (passion fruit) butter is a must-try. The beautiful protea flowers are also special to this area.

  • When to Go: Saturdays, 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM

  • Tip: Buy a cup of coffee and enjoy a slow walk around the market. The friendly feeling is a big part of the fun.

Hilo Farmers Market, Big Island

The Hilo Farmers Market is amazing. It’s one of the biggest markets in Hawaii and is full of bright colors, happy sounds, and tasty food. It’s open every day, but the main days are Wednesday and Saturday with over 200 sellers.

  • What We Love: The huge amount of tropical fruits! You will see types of bananas you have never seen before, sweet papayas, and the fun-looking rambutan fruit. There is also a big section for arts and crafts with jewelry and things made from wood.

  • Don’t Miss: Try the fresh-squeezed sugarcane juice and look at all the pretty orchids.

  • Location: Corner of Kamehameha Avenue and Mamo St, Hilo, HI 96720

  • When to Go: Big market days are Wednesdays & Saturdays, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. A smaller market is open every day from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

  • Tip: It's a good idea to bring cash, just in case. Be brave and try a fruit you don't know!

Kauaʻi Community Market, Kauaʻi

This Saturday market is a favorite spot for people who live on Kauaʻi. It has fresh fruits and vegetables, foods made from them, and ready-to-eat meals. It's a great place to get a taste of the island.

  • What We Love: Many products are "KauaÊ»i Grown," which means they are fresh and from the island. You can find tasty greens, local honey, and great plate lunches.

  • Don’t Miss: Try some real taro foods, like poi or taro chips. You can also find nice handmade gifts.

  • When to Go: Saturdays, 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM

  • Tip: This market is a great place to learn. The farmers love their work and are happy to talk about how they grow their food.
